 Fitchburg
Children are either picked up or brought to the Guild of St. Agnes by MART transportation company or the Public School bus. Some children may be transported home at the end of the day by MART transportation company. The transportation company maintains responsibility for the children while they are on the bus. The Guild of St. Agnes staff is responsible for putting the children on or taking the preschool children off the bus. School age children are dropped in front of the center to a staff person. For those children who are transported by their parents, the Guild's responsibility ends when the child is signed out of the program by a staff member to the parent or authorized adult.
Gardner:
The Guild transports children to the Gardner site following the Transportation Plan.
The exception to this is when the Public Schools provide transportation. In this case, the children are dropped off by the public school bus in front of the center to a staff person. The public school is responsible until the time of drop off.
Devens:
The Guild transports children to the Devens site following the Transportation Plan. The exception to this is when the Public Schools provide transportation. In this case, the children are dropped off by the public school bus in front of the center to a staff person. The public school is responsible until the time of drop off.
Worcester Public Schools:
Children are dismissed and report to the School age program at the time of dismissal. The Guild of St. Agnes assumes responsibility for the children enrolled in our program when they arrive at the program site. No transportation is provided.
Granite Street and Grove Street School Age:
The Guild transports children to the Granite Street and Grove Street sites following the Transportation plan. Parents also drop off at these sites. Parents need to bring children into the program and make contact with a staff person before the Guild assumes responsibility. The contact can simply be announcing that the child is there.
In all programs, the responsibility of the Guild ends when a parent or authorized adult picks up their child and a staff member signs their child out of the program. There are some school age children who walk home unsupervised with parental approval. When a child leaves the Guild location unsupervised with parental approval, the Guild's responsibility ends once the child leaves the program. Please discuss specific departure arrangements with the appropriate supervisor. [back to top]
